Part 11, das neue Album ‘ How I Got Over’ soll am 22. Juni erscheinen. Inklusive der gleichnamigen Single natürlich. Die erste offzielle Auskopplung soll aber der auch sehr feine Track mit John Legend sein.

Für alle die es nicht wussten und sich schon immer gefragt haben warum der Track ’2.0′ heißt:

Cody ChesnuTT hat den Song eigentlich ein Jahr vorher rausgebracht, 1.0 sozusagen, aber erst im Re-Release und Edit mit den Roots wurde der Track zum Hit.

Witzigerweise hab ich am letzten Wochenende jemand getroffen der meinte das Roots Konzert 2007 im Lka in Stuttgart wäre für ihn sehr enttäuschend gewesen. Ich wiederum hab das ganze als mein bestes Konzert ever abgespeichert. Ich fand das extrem kurzweilig und war unfassbar angetan von der Live-Performance.

Vielleicht war ja zufälligerweise auch jemand von Euch dort. Eure Meinung dazu würde mich interessieren!

Mit der Meldung bin ich zwar ziemlich spät dran, aber besser spät als nie, wa? Eine meiner absoluten Favourite Bands, The Roots, haben für 2010 ein neues Album angekündigt. Ein Track davon geht schon seit ner Weile durchs Internet, inklusive Video und einem ‘Black Thought’, der dieses Mal mehr singt als rappt…Shizzle!
